Calder Cares
At Calder High we want to ensure that all students have access to a variety of support networks both in school and out of school. We take Student Wellbeing very seriously and have many methods of support available for our students. However, we want to ensure that students AND parents have access to support in one place, therefore we are launching Calder Cares. This is a bank of resources, web addresses, advice and general support which can signpost students and parents if they have any concerns. We have put together all our pastoral support packages so parents have access and know what we can offer to young people and what is available to parents. Included in this are details of our Peer Mentor programmes, BEAM Teams, Antibullying Ambassadors and more importantly for parents, clear and practical advice around social media. So if you do not know your snapchat from your Instagram or your Facebook from your Twitter, please see the school website or follow us on our Facebook page and Twitter @Calderhighschool. Thank you to Callum Ingham Y8 for winning the logo design for the Calder Cares identity.
