Admissions to Calder High School
At Calder High School, we are proud to welcome up to 240 students into Year 7 each September, offering a supportive and inspiring start to secondary education.
Pupils from Calder Primary School benefit from a seamless transition into Year 7 and do not need to apply for a place, allowing them to continue their journey with familiar faces and a strong sense of community.
We also warmly welcome students joining us mid-year, with in-year applications available throughout the academic year. Places are currently available in Years 7–10, making this a great time to join our thriving school.
We believe the best way to experience Calder High is to see it for yourself. We would be delighted to show you around, meet your family, and give you a feel for daily life at our school.

Transition to Calder High School
We are currently planning the transition programme for our new intake of Year 7 students in September 2026. Please regularly visit this webpage as there will be frequent additions over time.
