Extra-Curricular Clubs

We believe that extra-curricular activity develop pupils character and confidence as well as giving opportunities to try new activities which can often lead to pathways to local clubs and local or national opportunities. A rigorous programme of extra-curricular opportunities, along with an ambitious curriculum and learning outside the classroom builds pupils' cultural capital.

We are ambitious that all our pupils, including those with SEND and those in receipt of Pupil Premium, attend at least 1 club or opportunity.

In September 2021 we conducted our pupil survey and met with our school councillors to discuss which clubs and activities we should hold.

Year 5 and 6 pupils are invited to join Year 7 in football club every Monday evening.

Currently this academic year we have or have had:

KS1 STEM Lego Club

KS2 STEM LEgo Club

KS1 Multi-Skills Sports Club

Years 1-6 Calder Sings Choir

KS2 British Sign Language Club

HX7 Sports inter-school events and competitions including: Unihoc, Cross Country League and Sportshall Athletics
